Mr. Karnes was a key Partner in Cornerstone Associates for nearly 25 years. He was a valued colleague and one who captured the very essence of high character, integrity and honorability that has been at the foundation of Cornerstone. His counsel was invaluable and will continue, in spirit, far into the future.
Mr. Karnes was also, in his own right, the very definition of high expectations and public responsibility. He served his state and his country as a member of the United States Senate and served on numerous non-profit and charitable organization boards, as well as public and quasi-public institutional boards, including the Tenth District Federal Home Loan Bank and the United States Advisory Committee on Trade Policy and Negotiations.
Mr. Karnes was a colleague, a friend, a model for a life well-lived and a touchpoint for every one of us at Cornerstone. He is, and will always be, missed.
